He also had trouble with interceptions this year as he seemed to force the ball a little more this year. However, with Winston’s live arm and accuracy, he has all the makings of a franchise quarterback. | ||||||

With Mariota or Winston on the board they will have the opportunity to have a possible franchise quarterback. However, they could take the best player in the draft with Leonard Williams. Leonard Williams would be an instant impact player on the Titans 3-4 defense as a five technique. | ||||||

| It is too early to turnaround on the Blake Bortles experiment, so the Jaguars need to continue to build their young team. Jacksonville needs another pass rusher to pair along with the 33 year old Chris Clemmons. Vic Beasley, Randy Gregory, and Dante Fowler are all options for the Jaguars with this selection. Dante Fowler shows elite rush ability on the edge and has a great motor. Fowler would fit in their system well as a good 4-3 defensive end. | ||||||

| The Raiders are in desperate need for a number one wide receiver. James Jones, their top wide receiver last year, only had 666 yards. Amari Cooper has the potential to be the number one guy in Oakland. Cooper is extremely quick off the line and has great hands. He really would be a great additional threat would be great for Derek Carr, playing to his strengths of the short completion. Oakland will have the choice between Cooper and Kevin White, but Cooper in my opinion is the more polished of the two. | ||||||

| Washington needs to find a replacement for Brian Orakpo who left in free agency to the Tennessee Titans. Vic Beasley would be an excellent pair with Ryan Kerrigan in Washington’s 3-4 defense. Since the NFL Combine, Beasley has been a riser among NFL teams. He came into the combine with a lot more weight then people thought he was and carried it well. He was a top performer running a 4.53 40 yard dash as well as performing 35 lifts on the bench press. Beasley is extremely fast off the line of scrimmage and an excellent pass rusher. One area he needs to improve upon is in the run game. | ||||||

| This is the dream scenario for the New York Jets.. The Geno Smith experiment has not worked out and the Jets are looking for their next franchise quarterback. Mariota has all the talent to be a starting NFL quarterback and is the most dangerous runner I have scouted. He is extremely accurate and shows great arm strength. Mariota would be a great start for new head coach Todd Bowles. | ||||||

| It is no secret that the Chicago Bears are in the market for a wide receiver after trading away Brandon Marshall to the Jets. There were plenty of Chicago Bears scouts at different wide receivers pro days like Amari Cooper and Kevin White. Kevin White would be an excellent complement to Alshon Jeffery and give Cutler another weapon to work with. Kevin White had a tremendous, breakout year for the Mountaineers and is a big target at the next level. He has great hands and plays with a tremendous catch radius. One question I have with White is his ability to separate from man coverage at the next level. | ||||||

| The Atlanta Falcons were tied for second to last as a team in sacks last year. Bud Dupree gives the Falcons an edge rusher that they so desperately need. Bud Dupree is an extremely athletic outside linebacker that fits great in the 3-4 defense. Bud Dupree is still a bit of a project, but has all the athletic ability to be a star pass rusher. | ||||||

| The Giants have struggled on the offensive line both in pass protection and the run game. It is already known around the Giants organization that there will be many changes on the offensive line. Brandon Scherff is an excellent run blocker and shows a very violent punch. He played left tackle at Iowa, but I believe he will be a better interior lineman at the next level. Scherff gives the Giants an instant upgrade on the interior line for Eli Manning. | ||||||

| The Rams struggled mightily this past year on offense and lack a dominant wide receiver. Devante Parker has a chance to be an instant impact player to help newly aqccuired Nick Foles. The offensive line is also a major need for the Rams as they could explore that option with this pick. | ||||||

| The Vikings offensive line struggled this year and needs to be a priority in the draft. In the last draft Minnesota found their franchise quarterback in Teddy Bridgewater, now it is their job to upgrade the offensive line for him. La’el Collins gives the Vikings an instant upgrade at offensive guard and a future starter at tackle. He shows good athleticism and is very good at getting to the second level in the run game. Collins could develop into an excellent tackle for Bridgewater and the Vikings. | ||||||

| Cleveland needs an upgrade on the interior after the loss of Ahytba Rubin in free agency. Danny Shelton would be an excellent nose tackle in Cleveland’s 3-4 defense. Shelton moves excellent for his size and shows great power. Shelton would be a great for the Browns pass rush and as a run stopper. | ||||||

| The New Orleans Saints defense this past year was dreadful. They ranked 31st in Total Defense and really struggled in all aspects. The Saints and Rob Ryan are in desperate need of a pass rusher to help get to the quarterback. Shane Ray is a great athlete and will instantly improve the Falcons pass rush. At times he struggles to disengage from blockers in the run game, but has very rare pass rushing traits that will translate nicely to the NFL. Shane Ray did get a Marijuana charge a few days before the draft, so it will be up to the NFL GM’s to see how far he falls. | ||||||

| The Dolphins get the top cornerback in the draft with the 14th pick which is a great match of need and talent. Trae Waynes shows great change of direction in man coverage along with good ball skills. Waynes also consistently shows great technique when the ball is in the air and can develop into an excellent starter. The one downside of Waynes is he isn’t the most physical corner. | ||||||

| With the retirement of Justin Smith, San Francisco is in need of a defensive end. Armstead would be a perfect fit here for the 49ers. Arik Armstead has top ten potential talent, but at times plays inconsistently. He will totally dominate an offensive guard, but then have a string of plays where he is nowhere to be seen. At 6’7″ 292, Armstead has elite size and athleticism. If he puts it all together and plays consistently, the 49ers would have a great young defensive tackle to step in for Smith. | ||||||

| The Texans get a great offensive lineman here in Ereck Flowers. Flowers is a premium road grader that will excel in the run game. He upgrades the Texans offensive line right away as a Right Tackle and he can be a starter for a long time. Where Flowers has to improve is against speed rushers as he doesn’t have the quickest feet. | ||||||

| The San Diego Chargers should absolutely be thrilled if Randy Gregory falls all the way to the 17th pick. The Chargers currently do not have a premier pass rusher in their 3-4 defense and Gregory would be a great prospect for that. Randy Gregory has top ten talent, but has been a faller in this draft due to his failed drug test and questions about his work ethic. Gregory shows rare pass rush skills and has excellent length. He holds up alright in the run game even though his playing weight is a question. Still Gregory would be a great pass rusher for the Chargers if he falls to this spot. | ||||||

| The Chiefs are still waiting for former number one Eric Fisher to live up to his number one draft selection. The Chiefs are also currently very thin at offensive tackle. Andrus Peat has the potential to be a franchise left tackle in the league and can develop in Kansas City. He moves very well for his size, but will need to get a little stronger to hold up against NFL tackles. Hopefully Fisher puts it together so the Chiefs will have two excellent offensive tackles. | ||||||

| The Cleveland Browns have the luxury of two first round picks this draft and can afford to take a risk on a talent like Gurley. Isaiah Crowell and Terrance West are good, but don’t have the superstar talent of Gurley. The one concern is Todd Gurley’s knee, but from all reports it seems like he is going to make a full recovery. Look for Gurley to contribute right away in the offense as well as a returner on special teams. | ||||||

| The Eagles solved some of their secondary needs with the signing of Byron Maxwell and Walter Thurmond. Even though they filled some of their cornerback needs, they still have to upgrade at the safety spot. Landon Collins would be a great pairing with Malcolm Jenkins as an inside the box safety. Collins does a great job coming up in run support and is a great tackler. He shows good ball skills, but there are a few questions about him in coverage. He is however an instant impact rookie and starter at the next level. | ||||||

| With the combination of Carlos Dunlap and Michael Johnson back in Cincinnati, the Bengals are missing one piece on their defensive line. Malcom Brown would be an excellent addition that defensive line. Brown was very disruptive at Texas and excelled at shedding blocks. He is very quick pass rusher and run stopper who led Texas with 6.5 Sacks and 15 Tackles for Loss. The combination of a talented Malcom Brown and Geno Atkins on the interior will be tough for NFL offensive lines to maintain. | ||||||

| With the retirements of Ike Taylor and Troy Polamalu, the Pittsburgh Steelers secondary is by far their biggest need. Marcus Peters is a very talented corner with all the skills to be successful at the next level. He does have some off the field baggage as he was kicked of the Washington Huskies half way through this year. Peters would help revamp this secondary with his good quickness and change of direction. | ||||||

| The Lions need an upgrade at Right Tackle as they rotated through a few throughout the year. D.J. Humphries is an excellent offensive tackle that is too good to pass up at this spot. Humphries has excellent feet and has the potential to develop into a Pro Bowl left tackle. Until then he can step in and upgrade the right tackle position right away. With Humphries the Lions have two starting caliber starting tackles. | ||||||

The Cardinals have the defense to win now, but they need play makers on offense to spark production. | ||||||

| Carolina never really found a long term replacement for Jordan Gross after he retired. It will be important for the Panthers to improve at offensive tackle in the draft. TJ Clemmings is a work in progress at tackle as he has only played the position for two years after starting his career at defensive line. He is excellent in run blocking and shows excellent power to move defensive lineman. He will need to improve in pass protection as he is still very raw in his technique. He has all the tools to eventually become a starting tackle, but he will be a project. | ||||||

| Baltimore needs more offensive weapons for Joe Flacco. Torrey Smith left in free agency and Steve Smith is not getting any younger. Breshad Perriman would give the Ravens another receiving threat that new offensive coordinator Marc Trestman can get creative with. Perriman has been a late draft riser after running a 4.27 at his pro day. He does exhibit alot of potential as a big bodied wide receiver. He does at times have the easy drop, but does show the ability to make the great catch. | ||||||

| The Cowboys had an excellent resurgence on defense during the 2014 season after being dreadful the year before. Rod Marinelli did a great job getting production out of a defense that has a lack of star power. Dallas still however lacks talent and depth in the secondary. Kevin Johnson would be an great addition to the Cowboys secondary as a guy with great quickness and anticipation. He will be an instant impact player as he is good in run support as well. | ||||||

| The Colts upgraded the defense this off-season with the acquisition of Trent Cole as another pass rusher to pair with Robert Mathis. The next step for the Colts is to upgrade the interior defensive line. Jordan Phillips would be a good pick in this slot for his versatility as a 3-4 nose tackle or defensive end. Phillips at Oklahoma showed good power and athleticism along the defensive line. He shows the key traits to be a NFL defensive lineman even though he has only one full season of starting. | ||||||

| Green Bay’s biggest need in the draft is an inside linebacker as they lost both AJ Hawk and Jamari Lattimore to free agency. The Packers inside linebacker position was already lacking depth and it has been evident over the past few years when it comes to the run game. The Packers can get a great instinctual player with Eric Kendricks at this pick. Kendricks has the tools to be a three down linebacker as he can sniff out the run or play great in coverage. He is a little bit undersized, but plays with good strength against blockers. Kendricks is a good sideline to sideline inside linebacker that the Packers need in their defense. | ||||||

| The Saints traded away Jimmy Graham and now have quite a few draft picks to reload their roster. They are down a few receiving threats also as they traded Kenny Stills to the Saints. Drew Brees is down a few weapons and would love a reliable receiver like Maxx Williams. Williams is an athletic tight end that is also a good blocker. It is becoming more rare for a tight end to be able to block and catch effectively, so Williams combined with Sean Payton’s offense would be a very good pick. | ||||||

| The Patriots need another receiving threat for the offense. Their biggest threats on the wide receiving core are shorter wide receivers like Julian Edelman and Danny Amendola. Dorial Green-Beckham is a very talented wide receiver who sat out this past year after transferring from Missouri. He is a huge wide receiver with freakish athletic ability. DGB shows good speed and excels in jump ball situations. He does have many off the field issues including two marijuana arrest and a domestic violence dispute. The Patriots have taken risks on players with problems before, but it could pay off as DGB has one of the highest upsides out of any of the receivers in the draft. | ||||||

2 1st round picks is a “luxury” for a team with fewer holes to fill than the Browns. Gurley would be an incredible waste of a pick for Cleveland. WR/OT/LB would be better.
